Spring Blues

It's beginning to look at lot like Spring, well sort of, besides from snowing every other morning, we have been getting a few warmer days in Denver so I'm excited to start wearing dresses and lighter clothes finally. I'm definitely one who dresses according to my mood, so on this day I was pretty happy the Sun came out because the day before that it felt like we had gone back to winter with all the snow and rain we had, I guess those are the perks of living in Colorado. I recently got a little box full of dresses from Urban Outfitters and I can't wait to start wearing them. I chose to wear this maxi dress on this day because I had been feeling a little down the day before that, as I have mentioned  before I was born in one of the warmest cities in South America, so my body always craves and needs warm weather, even though I've been here for years I still can't get used to the freezing temperatures both NY and CO have during winter, but I deal with it and layer up like an onion during those seasons lol. I usually don't wear maxi dresses but this one got my heart, the colors and print it's just too perfect and it actually fit my body so well, something that doesn't happen often since I'm 5'3" and petite, things tend to be big on me. I'm also a sucker for dresses with pockets, it's can be my favorite little add-on to dresses, I don't know why, I just love pockets. If you guys are looking for dresses definitely check out Urban Outfitters and the new selection of dresses they have for Spring.

Happiness > money

Sometimes I sit here and ask myself, what am I going to write about? I'm not the typical fashion blogger who travels the world and writes reviews about products. I'm just a normal boring 34 year old woman living in Colorado with some type of fashion sense and style. Some days there is just not much to say, not much going on in my life to talk about. I recently left a job that was making me unhappy and as much as I liked making money, I decided to try and pursue something I'm passionate about instead, so I thought I would try to blog more, write about myself and be more open to share my thoughts and emotions with those who come here to read these posts. I also started a new project with the hope that eventually I can have my own business, a little shop where I curate vintage and thrift items. A few years ago, when Matt and I started having fun with Instagram and bought a camera to play with, we started creating together, wanting to have fun and see where that would take us. We ended up having so many images that we decided to create this blog and share them rather than having these images sitting in our computer stuck there forever.  In an era where so many people are doing the same thing, it's hard not to feel like you're just a little grain of rice in the bunch, but I believe that if you love something and you continue to put love and work into it, eventually things could work out. I guess I don't have much of a positive message to share today, except to just keep working toward what you want, my goal in life is to eventually be able to work for myself and along side with my husband while spending more time with him and Rain, but unfortunately that is not as easy as it sounds. There is nothing wrong with seeing reality for what it is and not a fantasy world many feel comfortable portraying, but together we try to hurdle or barrel through any obstacles that come our way without pretending they aren't there. So I decided it's time for me to focus on things I really enjoy and @twosayersshop is one of them. I've always been told I have great taste and have an eye for finding items that can be timeless and I thought why not do that? so for the past few weeks I have been working on an inventory and ideas to make @twosayersshop a little dream come true. I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait to share more with you guys soon.

We decided to take a bit of a drive to one of our favorite spots, Paint Mines. This is the second time we have come with Rain, unfortunately the wind was quite harsh as well it was pretty cool as the Sun was making its way down. Originally we planned to go for a short walk or hike within the mine itself, also so amazed by the crevices and multi color rock formations they display. I'm personally not one to be in front of the camera as much but Ang wanted to snap a few shots of me, I am having a difficult time not wearing my new Alpha Industries Camo Bomber Jacket almost every day and was rocking a long sleeve from The North Face underneath. With this spot being two hours from our place it would have been nice to spend more time there but the drive, company, scenery, along with a beautiful sunset made the trip worthwhile.

Hangar Space

It's finally feeling like Spring in Denver. If you know me, you know warm weather is my thing. Coming from South America and being in the U.S for sixteen years I'm still not used to the freezing cold temperatures both Colorado and NY/NJ have. I will say though, winters in Colorado feel a little better than the East coast, I love that most days are sunny and not constantly gloomy, it definitely helps me have more energy and the weather here makes the snow melt so much quicker. Glad it's finally Spring and we can slowly feel the change in the air and see the trees blossom, people's moods changing into better ones and driving with the windows down. This day was so beautiful out, so I wanted to wear lighter colors, neutrals tones are must have in your closet, they're easy to wear and to mix and match. Click the links below for outfit details
